There is a pediatrician who went to practice medicine, up north, who has a heart of gold. This man’s kindness and generosity given to a young family so long ago will never be forgotten. Why was this the best Christmas? I found such kindness, generosity and spirit of Christmas giving in others that Christmas. There have been many Christmases since then. Yeah, I’ve never understood that. There are people who get downright combative if they see Christmas decorations go up before Thanksgiving. I can’t imagine why anyone would care. We have two Christmas trees, and we leave them both up year round. Macy’s can start putting up decorations and playing Christmas music in June for all I care. At my age, time goes by at such blinding pace that Christmas usually comes and goes before I even have a chance to enjoy a cup of eggnog. I like going to the store and seeing the decorations, the sales, and the cards. I like hearing the Christmas music play over the speakers. This was my first year not trick-or-treating (yes, I went last year at 15 years old. Fucking judge me.) so I was drafted to hand out the candy at my house while everyone else went out.
